History
This wonderful 41-seat AEC coach was built in June 1962 by W. Alexander & Sons, the famous bus operator and coach-builder of Falkirk, Scotland. It operated as both service bus and coach for the Scottish coastal town of Arbroath. This model was fitted with twin opening skylights, upper observation windows and full-height seats with headrests to suit it’s dual role.
More recently, the excellently-preserved coach was comprehensively restored and repainted in the original 1962 livery. After being on display for a time at the Scottish Vintage Bus Museum, it has recently been mechanically re-commissioned for commercial use once again, giving lovers of all things vintage the opportunity to hire a little piece of history for their special event.
